ABOUT US
Transport Investment Solutions Limited (TISL) is an independent consultancy providing transport and infrastructure related advisory services, focussing on the international development sector. It was set up by Vidhi Mohan an independent transport economist with close to 25 years' experience in advising a range of clients globally.
Vidhi is an expert in providing strategic advice and undertaking financial and economic appraisal of rail and urban transport projects. His expertise includes business case development, transport planning, financing of transport schemes, rail franchising and regulation, PPP development and project risk analysis, and project management. He has worked both in the UK and internationally, covering Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Over the past few years he has been working primarily in the international development sector, advising all the major international financial institutions including the World Bank, ADB, EBRD, IDB, MCC and the UK DFID. His UK expertise includes working with the DfT, Network Rail, ORR, train operators, local authorities and private banks. He is also an Associate with First Class Partnerships (FCP), a leading UK railway consultancy, as well as CPCS, a global management consultancy firm.
Vidhi started his career in the Indian Railways, working as the finance manager for one if its largest divisions. Since moving to the UK in 2000, he has worked for major UK consultancy firms including Mott MacDonald, Halcrow, Atkins and Scott Wilson. In 2016 Vidhi set up TISL as an independent consultancy. Between September 2015 and December 2016, Vidhi worked on the DfID funded Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (NIAF). which is a fund designed to provide rapid and flexible consulting expertise to help Nigeria improve its infrastructure. Vidhi is leading the business case for concessioning the current of the Nigerian railways, as well as advising the Kaduna State Government on urban transport and urban planning issues.
A qualified economist, Vidhi holds an MA in Transport Economics from University of Leeds, and a BA (Hons) in Economics from St Stephen's College, Delhi University.
